8 a.m. - 3 p.m. Sunday

Stonewall Boarding and Game Preserve

Esperance, NY

Pat Nolan has been a professional dog trainer since 1975. While he is currently training young dogs for a variety of retriever sports, his background in canine education is very diverse. He has trained and titled dogs in the obedience ring.  He has trained animals for television and movies and holds a master falconry permit.

He brings his experience training other animals to the retriever arena, setting up training situations so that the dog’s natural talent is channeled for optimal learning and success.
Pat’s success training and handling retrievers speaks for itself. He has personally trained and/or handled more than eight dogs to their FC or AFC titles and has been involved in the success of many more — earning field trial placements not only for Labradors, but for Goldens & Flat Coats. He has trained dogs that have been finalists in both National Open and National Amateur field trial events and has obtained over 100 Master Hunter titles. He has trained dogs with conformation titles to their Master Hunter titles and has the proud distinction of being the trainer-handler of the first Irish Water Spaniel to obtain a Master Hunter title. http://ponderosakennels.com/

The setups will be run much like a trial with running orders, called to line, holding blinds and Pat expert guidance to help with difficult training situations for the novice and experienced handlers. Pat has an easy way with people. He relaxes the people and makes it easier for them to learn.
